At higher grades and diploma level, you study with our founder and principal, Dr. Andjelita Chendra (曾博士), PhD in Piano Performance and Music Pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

THE PROGRAMME
What You’ll Work On
- Repertoire: a programme that meets the syllabus and shows off your strengths
- Interpretation and style: phrasing, tone and colour at concert level
- Recital preparation: performing a full programme with confidence
- Written and viva voce elements of ABRSM and Trinity diplomas, so nothing on the day is a surprise
- Advanced theory and aural: the harmony, analysis and listening skills a diploma expects
- Stage experience: performing your programme at our Annual Concert and recitals before the exam
- Competitions: preparation for local and international stages
BY INSTRUMENT
Piano, Violin, Flute and Theory
- Piano: refine your voicing, pedalling and interpretation at concert level
- Violin: develop your tone, vibrato and bowing, with piano accompaniment in lessons
- Flute: build breath control, colour and articulation with a performing flautist
- Music Theory & Solfège: master Grade 5 to 8 theory, harmony, counterpoint and advanced aural
ON STAGE
Perform and Compete
You’ll perform at our Annual Concert each year, and be prepared for competitions where Cephas students have received awards, including Music Singapore 2025 and the Singapore Performing Arts Festival.
